From Dr. Terry Mize:
It was a joy last week to preach the graduation ceremony for 43 graduates of Life Christian University, Miami Florida campus. It’s always exciting to see fresh new ministers, young lions setting their faces like flint to go into the Gospel ministry. I tried to impart to them the task committed to us by Jesus at the inception of the first church, His church, at its birth and which constitutes the very object of its existence; namely giving the message of salvation to all mankind. Jackie and I love Gospel ministers. We have a heart for all those beginning, and a real love for all those continuing, because not all that begin continue.
Jackie and I, and all at this ministry send you heartfelt thanks for your missions support, for your love and for your partnership in evangelizing the world that cost God His Son and cost Jesus His Blood. We set ourselves in agreement with the Covenant of God that He takes your seed sown and multiplies it back to you. We are praying for increase and abundance for you and blessing to all you put your hand to.
I also preached in Miami for my long-time dear friend, Stan Moore at Words of Life church, and then flew to Texas Monday for a three-day ICFM conference. While there I received news from home that my mom was non-responsive and had been taken to the hospital. By the time we reached Tulsa that afternoon she had moved from this world to her eternal home which she had longed for since I was a boy. She had been in an assisted living facility since April and seemed to be doing fairly well and was mentally alert, but not mobile at all. My sister and brother-in-law Wyatt and Debbie Brown and I officiated at the homegoing service, and our brother Bruce Hall sang a song that he wrote for our mom. All in all it was sweet and the way it should be, a promotion, a graduation that was expected and accepted. A special thanks to Pastor Ken and Lynette Hagin, longtime friends of ours and of Wyatt and Debbie. Not only did they attend the service but Ken went with us to both the funeral home and the cemetery to make arrangements. I thought that was a sweet and classy thing to do. The timing, we all thought was strange as our mom passed on October 6th which is our son Paul’s birthday. Makes you wonder if she decided to visit her grandson in Heaven on his 35th birthday.
Jackie has gone to Texarkana to await the arrival of another grandbaby. This is Lori’s first, due any day now and I don’t know when Nana will be back home. I just have to visit from time to time. October is a really full and busy month for me. I’m looking forward to a pastor’s conference in Jalisco, Mexico and an evangelistic miracle crusade in Colima, Mexico. Two different states but familiar to me as I have been ministering in both of them since 1974.
Pray with us; believe God with us for an increase of finances this month. Due to several events we are in a place where we need $100,000.00 to take care of some pressing things. As a missionary and traveling minister it is impossible to predict when some partners might be affected by the economy and not be able to continue their giving. We are in prayer for them as well. One thing we can predict is that God is our source and we are tithers and givers, and we are expecting miracles.
I’m very excited about some upcoming missions trips including, Zimbabwe, Africa, which I have asked the Church to pray about and I will talk to you about it in our next month’s letter. We love you and pray for you daily. Send us your prayer requests and praise reports.
For the World that Cost the Blood of Jesus,
Terry L. Mize
